Kulgam, March 16: Police on Sunday discovered the remains of another Gujjar boy who went missing with two others in this South Kashmir District last month.
According to press reports, the body of Mohammad Showkat, son of Mohammad Sadiq Bajad and native of Chata Doonda, Rajouri (now residing in Chandian Pajan, Qazigund), was discovered this morning in Vaishow Nallah in the Mah Ashmuji area of Kulgam district.
Last month, three young people went missing from Qazigund: Riyaz Ahmad Bajad, his younger brother Showkat Ahmad Bajad, and Mukhtar Ahmad.Their families have been looking for them for a month and have filed a missing report with the local police station.
Another kid, Riyaz, was found dead in the same nallah three days ago. All three came from Rajouri and worked as labourers in Qazigund.
On February 13, the trio headed for Ashmuji, Kulgam to attend a party at a relative’s residence. However, they vanished before reaching their goal. Their phones have been turned off since they disappeared.
Kulgam Police, SDRF, and NDRF have initiated a search operation to locate the missing trio. Until date, two bodies have been recovered, and the search for another missing kid is ongoing—(KNO)
