Officer Perishes in Jammu After Rifle Accidentally Discharges

In the Jammu district’s Nagrota neighbourhood, a police officer lost his life on Sunday due to an unintentional fire of his service rifle. The officer, Jai Raj (46), a native of Panj Grain Nagrota and the son of Kaka Ram, shot himself by accident with his service pistol,
according to officials who spoke with GNS. He was brought right away to GMC for treatment, where upon arrival, medical professionals pronounced him dead. An investigation has been started after a case was filed. GNS
