Indian cricketer Shahbaz Ahamad, a rising star on the Indian cricket circuit, made headlines after marrying Dr Shaista Amin, a Kashmiri girl, in a traditional wedding ceremony in South Kashmir’s Kulgam hamlet. The ceremony, held in the bride’s home, captivated the hearts of many, with photographs and videos of the joyful celebration going viral on social media.
Dr. Shaista Amin completed BUMS, which stands for Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery. Daughter of Mohammad Ameen Tantray, a retired government employee. They are originally from Kulgam but currently live in Srinagar.
According to media sources, the SunRisers Hyderabad player married Dr. Shaista Amin of Kulgam, with a wedding reception slated for August 10th in Palwal, Haryana.
Shahbaz Ahamad, 29, plays for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy and for SunRisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He also debuted for the Indian cricket team in 2022.
In August 2022, Shahbaz was named as a substitute for the injured Washington Sundar in India’s One Day International (ODI) squad for their tour to Zimbabwe. In October 2022, he was picked to India’s ODI team for the series against South Africa. Shahbaz made his T20 International debut on October 6, 2023, against Bangladesh.
Shahbaz was born in Mewat, Haryana, and his father, Ahmed Jan, is a clerk at the Nuh district’s Sub-divisional Magistrate’s office.
Shahbaz dropped out of engineering school to pursue a cricket career, although he eventually finished his BTech during the epidemic.
