Khosapora, Budgam: In a wonderful moment for Jammu and Kashmir, 20-year-old Bilal Ahmad Dar of Khosapora, Khansahab, has been picked to represent the Union Territory in the famous 38th National Games 2025, which will be held in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14.
Bilal’s road to this accomplishment is a monument to his fortitude and perseverance. Bilal, an orphan from a low-income household, was forced to take on substantial responsibilities at a young age.
As the eldest son, he discontinued his studies after Class 10 to support his family, which comprises his elderly mother, a brother, and a sister.Bilal’s passion for sports was unwavering, even in the face of hardship.
Over the years, he has won five gold medals and six national-level diplomas in yoga. His desire of representing India in the Olympics drives him to work tirelessly.
In an emotional speech, Bilal expressed his gratitude: “I am grateful to my family, my school instructors, particularly Shabir Sir, and the J&K Sports Council, who have always supported me.
“Their encouragement has kept me going.”Bilal’s selection has instilled great pride in the people of Budgam and served as an inspiration to young people around the region.
His passion highlights the enormous potential that exists within the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, waiting to be realised with the correct assistance and chances.
As Bilal prepares to compete in the National Games, the aspirations and prayers of the region accompany him. His tale teaches us all that hard effort and dedication can overcome even the most difficult problems.
