Forces recover one M4 carbine and other items
Doda, August 14. While the cordon and search (CASO) operation is still in progress in the jungles, security personnel have retrieved one M4 carbine and three bag packs from the encounter location in the Shivgarh Dhar area of Assar in the Doda district, officials said on Wednesday.
According to sources, after the exchange of fire last evening, millitants escaped into the woodlands but were unable to carry some ammunition with them.
The US-made M4 carbine was recovered, along with three bag packs containing incriminating material, including ammo. “A cordon and search operation is underway,” stated a source. Last evening about 7.12 p.m., contact was made with terrorists, but owing to darkness, the operation was postponed for the night and restarted this morning
SSP Doda Javed Iqbal told KNO that the operation is underway and details will be provided after it is completed—(KNO).
