Srinagar, Nov 1: On Friday, a terrible fire erupted in various spots in Anantnag, destroying one mosque and several residential buildings.
According to current information with the news agency, Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) personnel under the direction of Anantnag district responded quickly to a succession of calls, working to contain the fire and minimise damage.
At 2:53 p.m., F&ES Bijbehara got the first alert, indicating a fire in the Simthan area. The squad responded quickly and saw a single-story house engulfed in flames. Another team from Anantnag reacted to a different incident in Mirbazar Zoder at 2:46 p.m., and managed to suppress the fire affecting four haystacks.Another complaint arrived at 3:25 p.m., alerting authorities to a fire at Nandpora Khanabal, which involved both a three-story residential building and a mosque.
Meanwhile, the mosque suffered structural damage, and F&ES teams, including reinforcements, rushed on the scene to work to control the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
