Early Kashmiri apple cultivars, such as American, Red Delicious, Dilruba, Dilnasheen, and others, have a significant market in Bangladesh Even though the instability prevented sorne apple types from being delivered to Bangladesh apple growers and merchants are optimistic that things will improve and that trade with the neighbouring nation may continue. We will soon be harvesting some of the early apple types. Besides a few Indian markets, these early apple cultivars are marketed to Bangladesh, we hope that the situation in Kashmir improves.
