Kupwara, August 09 The authorities in Kupwara’s Karnah have issued a strict edict mandating all teachers to turn off their cell phones during working hours in an effort to improve focus and discipline within classrooms.
The directive applies to teaching staff in all the government-run schools in the sub-division
According to media sources, subdivisional magistrate Zaffar Ahmed Lone declared that only the leaders of the institutions are allowed to have their phones on during school hours in order to receive pertinent communications as needed.
The circular cautions that any disregard for these guidelines may result in disciplinary action in accordance with applicable laws.
Tangdhar’s zonal education officer and cluster heads were entrusted with overseeing the implementation of this policy throughout all educational institutions in the sub-division.
