Date 24 _04_2025 :Kashmiri students studying outside of the Kashmir region have claimed harassment, threats, and physical attack from various parts of India.

The student, from Sopore in north Kashmir, was reportedly attacked inside his flat. “They arrived at our flat at 3 a.m. They abused us.

Meanwhile, landlords in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, have requested Kashmiri students to quit their rented rooms, raising concerns about coordinated intimidation. Students at Dehradun’s Alpine Group of Colleges reported being forced to leave their houses.
Tensions rose after Lalit Sharma of the Hindu Raksha Dal issued an open threat, asking that all Kashmiri Muslims leave Uttarakhand by Thursday. “Our teams will go on rounds and deal with any Kashmiri Muslim in their own way,” he warned in a widely shared video.
Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir, stated that he is constantly following the situation. ‘The J&K administration is in contact with the governments of the states where these reports are coming from. I’ve also contacted my colleague Chief Ministers in these states and recommended that they take extra precautions,” he said. Despite pledges, dread and uncertainty continue to grip Kashmiri students in various northern states.
