The planned functionality varies from Instagram’s, which allows anybody to see the persons named in Stories.WhatsApp’s feature will also allow privately mentioned persons to reshare a status if they choose to.
WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, limited the number of users mentioned in a single Status to five, while trying to make likes available with a single press, akin to Instagram’s heart button.
However, the amount of likes will remain private in WhatsApp stories. Meanwhile, the messaging platform stated that it is working on “bringing more features to the Status and Updates tab over the next few months.
